DungeonStream

Help Hero Heroson; the last scion of the Heroson lineage of heroic badasses, through the dangerous world of DungeonStream, an epic adventure game!

Unfortunately Hero is also the worst of his lineage, a clumsy oaf who needs constant watching, and even worse, whoever programmed this game did a terrible job. Actually the game had no programmers.

Help Hero achieve his goals AND keep the game running until he does!

Controls

Left Click: Load or Unload rooms
WASD : Control Camera
Mouse Scroll : Zoom Camera
ALT + F4 : Exit

Game Instructions

• Hero will move around on his own, you're not the boss of Hero!
• Click on rooms to stream them in or out of memory

  
  

  • Don't have too many rooms streamed in
• Loot the chests to level up.
• Get strong enough to beat the boss!

There are 2 levels in the game jam version. Defeat the boss to get to the next level.

Jam Concept

The jam theme was Roles Reversed.  Our idea was to play as the computer game while some player runs around crawling the dungeons. We wanted the player (you, not the ingame character player), to micro-manage things in the dungeon, like disarming traps, opening chests and handling the streaming of the level.

The jam version was scoped to focus on the streaming in and out of the level, and having a threat that's chasing you across the level, adding pressure.
