Day one - GOEDware jam #6 - theme - ABSORPTION
After running through a couple of game ideas I settled on a classic time trial/race style platformer. The player will be chased by an enemy that forces them to keep moving forward. Meanwhile they will have to keep collecting (absorbing) pickups or they will slow down / lose mobility
Mechanics are fairly simple, story will be cool.
Experimenting with using AI art for the entire game, i've already got my logo, character art, and some backdrops.
Using Game Creator 2 visual scripting as I normally do for jams ... I've got my basic controller setup... simple left-right physics with a jump and an anti-grav mechanic I need to think more about. Death timer is in, and you can pickup light orbs for extra time. So basically, im done :D
