Day something Zzzzz is a riff right ?
one more day to go on this jam... maybe another 20hours of dev time if I pull an all-nighter tomorrow night .... got my combo system fully finished and my king of the hill style area control system (which can expand to as many spawners/capture points as i like) finished and in the game level.
I like to build my mechanics in a test level where I dont have to worry about visuals or performance or any of that nonsense. The key there is to make sure any local variables are attached to the things that use them and that you move anything connected at the same time so that any connections are maintained.
Most of my time today was making the king of the hill system expandable and getting the skeletons working. There were a lot of dumb situations that were sometimes my fault, and sometimes game creators fault. Also drew some icons for quest completion that may or may not make it to final. Im really hoping i'll be able to get in some musical combat tomorrow... not that the game has or needs any kind of deep combat.
Now I just need (in order of need to want) a player health system, slightly smarter skeletons, a lot more audio, the entire music weapon system :D
